KICKS! Extended for Weather
For safety reasons, TwentyTwentyKicks has been extended 7 days until 7 April 2026!
This is due to a large part of the country being under heavy snowfall which will make running and walking difficult, as well as life-threatening (per the National Weather Service) cold temperature warnings going through next weekend.
You may still enter data, but the SAG Wagon will not increase until 1 February to give everyone time to dig out, and to give some grace in the life-threatening cold that is forecast to arrive.
This is not something we will typically do, but given that this event is rare and that I would rather you be safe and able to finish this challenge safely, we're going to do it for this event.
Shirts have started arriving! Our local shirt vendor, Leber Design & Print, got our shirts done much faster than expected! If you do not receive yours by 1 February, please contact me so I can track it down!
We raised $931 ourselves this year and RunnersPlus will match $465.50 of that, meaning that we've raised $1,346.50 to get running gear for local kids in need! No more running in jeans or school shoes! :-)
BE KIND
Please be kind and encouraging to others! We're all in this to help each other achieve our goal of 202.6 miles!
RESPONSIVENESS
I strive to make this challenge the best it can be for you; please have patience though. Please know:
--- many parts of our challenge are done "by hand" and not automated, which makes things a little slower
--- I am an unpaid volunteer for our non-profit running club and my job doesn't allow me to access the race during the day, so I may be a little slower to respond than a dedicated race company putting on an event
--- there may be some errors and challenges that come up and I will do my best for you so that you have a quality event. :-)
THANK YOU
This "global" event benefits the non-profit ORRRC, which puts on low/no-cost races in western Ohio to encourage fitness (and fun) in the local area and sustains several youth running/walking groups across the region! We couldn't do it without your support and we are ineffably grateful!
