Welcome to the website for Twenty Twenty Kicks! by the Ohio River Road Runners Club! This is a winter challenge from January to the end of March to keep us running and walking! Check back soon for more info!
Charity Effort This Year: We're teaming up with RunnersPlus to get running gear for kids in need so they're not running in improper shoes or chafing clothes, and so they can enjoy running!
Every participant in Kicks will get a 15% in-store or online discount code for RunnersPlus!
RunnersPlus will match 50% of our donations up to $500 to get kids-in-need into running gear!
You can donate extra to help kids get running gear too!
Five years ago we embarked upon an adventure to keep ourselves accountable and motivated to run and walk throughout the winter! I thought it would be a one-time deal, but we've had such a positive response to the last five years' events that we're going to try it again with the same goals: keep ourselves training all winter, raise funds for the ORRRC to keep our races free/low-cost, and to have fun!
Over the last five winters, one of the things that keeps me motivated is tracking my running on a graph, against a 'virtual sag wagon' line, to make sure I stay ahead of that line. My hope is that our TwentyTwentyKICKS! event will help you if you're similarly motivated to keep running/walking over the winter!
Let's go have fun & be kind !

WHY ARE HOODIES / SHIRTS, & MEDALS SEPARATE?
We recognize that folks may have financially strained personal budgets, so we want to offer a lower cost way to participate (while still helping the ORRRC). Race shirts and medals tend to be the more expensive part of the race, so making them separate allows us to offer a lower price-point for the race so hopefully everyone can take part. The shirts, hoodies, and medals are "at cost", so we don't make money from them (outside of rounding it to whole dollars).
